Spring Newsletter

McKaig Photography has moved studio locations. We are now located at 665 unit 12 Colby Drive in Waterloo. The new studio boasts a cozy waiting room and studio with a curved wall for those great “all white background” pictures. The studio is open by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. I’m also looking to recruit models to build my portfolio. I’m looking for pregnant women (8-9 months along), newborns (up to 6 weeks old), and brave souls who are willing to do boudoir sessions. There is no cost to you, only pay for any images you would like printed.

We’re going to be doing another Extreme Bridal session. This is our version of Trash the Dress. If you or someone you know has a wedding or bride’s maid dress that is just sitting in your closet, come on out and join is! We do not destroy the dresses. They will get dirty and possibly wet. If you are willing after, I have a contact that will even take your dresses, clean them and donate them to brides less fortunate.

We will be looking at doing this session once it is warmer out. Date to be determined, please contact me if you’re interested and I will add you to the list.

We have one wedding booked for the summer. If you know someone getting married in 2012, refer them and if they book you can get a $50.00 gift certificate.

Manderson Family

This was my second shoot with the Manderson family. They are a cute and fun family. We got to shoot on Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was perfect, although a bit sunny. We had a great time capturing their special moments.

 

  

Jonas Family Session

This is the Jonas family. Michelle is the sister of Cheri (Mahoney...see below).

I have known her almost as long as I have known Cheri and Rick. She and Zsolt have an adorable son, Jackson. Hopefully you will see some engagement/wedding pics of Zsolt and Michelle soon...we're all still waiting for them to set a date!

Mahoney Family Session

This is the Mahoney Family. I have known them for the last 12 years. This is my 5th photo session with them over the years. This year they told me they had this "great place" to do their pictures. We drove out of the city to this great field by an old bridge. It was beautiful. That is when we discovered the problems...the only way into the field was to climb down the cement wall by the bridge (right beside a giant wasp hive), and then duck under an electric fence (which Rick discovered WAS live. When we thought we had cleared the worst, we found out that the field was full of thistles and cow patties! We managed to get a few great shots, and then resorted to Waterloo Park for the remainder of the shoot.
